Tips For Beginning Exercisers

  Tips For Beginning Exercisers

In order to be successful at exercise and fitness, it’s important to start out slowly and learn the right way to do things. This will help you make the most of your routine, avoid injury, and enjoy what you’re doing as much as possible. Here are 8 tips for beginning exercisers who want to do everything right the first time around.

1) Don’t Go To The Gym

Don't go to the gym. Now, I know this might seem a little extreme but hear me out. Going to the gym is expensive and time-consuming and not very practical if you work full-time or have a family. The last thing you want to do is be at your wit's end with no time or money for exercise because you spent it all at the gym.

Instead, find an activity that you enjoy doing for 30 minutes a day like taking a walk or biking around the neighborhood.

2) Use Smaller Pieces of Equipment First

Start with something you can do comfortably. If you're overweight, start with a stationary bike or elliptical machine; if you have a history of joint problems, use an exercise video or DVD instead of weight machines. Once you've been exercising for at least two months and feel strong enough to tackle weights, try light weight training on machines like the lat-pulldown machine.

3) Start with an Easy Workout Routine

1. Start with a 20-minute walk in the morning. Walking is one of the easiest ways to get exercise and can be done almost anywhere, anytime. You can even do it on your lunch break! 2. Take the stairs instead of an escalator or elevator whenever possible. This is a simple way to make your day more active without doing anything extra. One flight of stairs takes about 30 seconds and burns more than 100 calories each time you climb them! 3.

4) If you can’t make it there, do it here

First of all, don't let your lack of time keep you from getting in shape. You can do a lot with just 10 minutes of exercise each day. Second, don't overdo it. If you're not used to exercising, start off slow and gradually increase the intensity and duration as you get stronger. Third, find an activity that you enjoy doing. Whether it's jogging or playing tennis, if you're having fun while exercising chances are you'll stick with it for a long time.

5) Lift light weights often

A key component of exercise for beginners is lifting light weights often. Low weight and high repetitions will build muscle tissue, which in turn helps burn fat. This is because muscle tissue requires more energy to maintain than fat does, so the more you have the more calories your body will burn on a daily basis. A good goal for beginners is two sets of 10-12 reps for each major muscle group at least twice per week.

6) See how you feel when you wake up in the morning

7) Keep a diary to keep track of how you are doing

One week in and I'm already feeling better. I've been doing some light yoga to stretch out my muscles and it feels so good. It's also been really helpful for me because I've started to worry about my weight more and seeing progress on the scale has made me feel a lot better. Diet wise, I've been sticking with vegan dishes but making sure to include a variety of fruits, veggies, and whole grains.

8 ) Tell people about your goals

I want to share with you 8 tips for beginning exercisers. Whether you are starting out as a beginner or have been exercising for years, these tips will help you on your journey to living a healthier lifestyle.

1) Set specific goals. One of the most important things to do when beginning an exercise program is to set specific goals.
